The Bamboo Sessions
The Bamboo Sessions features newly written

HELP! (May 2008)
An original story featuring the music of the Beatles. String arrangements for the
string quartet:
- The Long and Winding Road
- Let It Be
- Got to Get You Into My Life
- Yesterday
- Here Comes The Sun
- Drive My Car
- Back in the U.S.S.R.
Fever (November 2007)
This show was based around the music and story of the movie "Saturday Night Fever". It
also included other disco hits of the era.
Brothers in Arms (November 2004)
An original show written for the school. Included a wide variety of popular songs transcribed
arranged for band and orchestra.
Jungle Thing (May 2003)
Jungle Thing was a show featuring the music and story lines of "The Jungle Book" and "The Lion King". The band
included professional musicians and students of the school.
Ochon (November 2002)
Ochon was an original production written for Blackrock College by the shows directors.
The musical numbers were classic Irish rock songs arranged for band and string section.

Piano arrangments based on Willy Russel's original music.
